Downtown Antwerp, facing the central railway station, overlooking the arriving and departing trains, stood a small, inconspicuous building. We're in the heart of diamond-trading Antwerp, (possibly) the most important Jewish-Indian home base for manufacturing and trading these precious little stones. The traders have left the building a while ago, I'm hoping to find at least one little, forgotten gem ... or have the pigeons eaten what they thought was the last shiny bit of corn ? |
