Every time I go back to Cheratte I realize how beautiful this place really is. Since 1996 my eyes and perception have changed. Love for the hidden beauty and desire to know more before it's too late has replaced the awe inspired by the impressive architecture.

The place will be partly destroyed. Some precious buildings will remain, but for sure the soul, the ghosts that live in the abandoned buildings will retire further and further in the minegalleries ...
